Flow Racks

In a flow racking system, each level of each lane is used for a single SKU and has a strip of slightly inclined rollers. It can be used for single item cartons or individual pallets of the same SKU. The disadvantage with this system is that to store products they must be loaded in from the back-end, so you are only able to pull from the front. Additionally, the carton must be in good condition so it does not get stuck in the rollers. For the pallet flow rack, you must have good pallets so that it will not get stuck on the rollers as well as any stretch tape around the pallet. 

The flow rack is a less expensive option for the Drive-in or pallet shuttle system. Please request more information from your Rac Force Material Handling and Solutions representative to check if this is a viable option for your needs.
